Making the gel with a glycerin base means it will attract moisture from the air to your skin. My blend contains the following all natural ingredients: DISTILLED WATER: Water from which all minerals and other impurities have been removed by the process of distillation. COCONUT OIL BASED CLEANSER: derived from coconuts has cleansing properties that leave the skin feeling soft and soothed. GLYCERIN: pure and gentle glycerin is specially formulated for mildness. It is completely vegetable based and contains among the highest percentage of glycerine. Glycerin is a clear, sticky liquid that is naturally produced during the soapmaking process. It attracts moisture from the air to the skin, providing hydration to the skin. Plus it will cleanse without leaving a tight dry feeling. Because my glycerin has a lower pH (8.0 to 8.5) than most (10.0 to 12.5) my soap will not upset the skin's natural pH balance. ALOE LEAF JUICE: juice obtained from the leaves of aloe vera used soothing properties. SEA SALT: extracted from the sea and full of minerals. Botanical Extracts of aloe vera, chamomile, calendula, vitamin E and C. SOY LECITHIN: emulsifier BAKING SODA: softening and ph balance. GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT:a natural preservative made from the seeds & pulp of the grapefruit. Methylparaben NF / Proplylparaben NF as plant derived antimicrobial preservatives which protect against mold and yeast. Paraben is less than 1% of the whole formula.
